Custom Yoga & Fitness Wear Manufacturer — Leggings, Sets, Private Label
Quick answer
Alisterz manufactures custom yoga and fitness wear in bulk from Sialkot, Pakistan: leggings, sports bras, shorts, tops and matching sets in nylon/spandex and polyester/spandex blends, finished with your own woven labels, hang tags and packaging for private-label sale. Fitness wear is judged on the body, not the hanger — stretch recovery, a waistband that stays put and fabric that passes the squat test — so every first order runs through a pre-production sample in 5–7 days (a free sample is available) before bulk production of 15–20 days. Many styles start from 100 pieces per style (some at 500), pricing is tiered by quantity, and we ship worldwide by DHL, FedEx or sea.

Fitness wear is a different manufacturing job
A team jersey is judged on how it looks in a line-up. A legging is judged in a deep squat, in gym lighting, by a customer who will return it if it fails. Three things decide whether a fitness range sells or comes back:
Squat-proof opacity. Stretch any fabric far enough and it thins. On dark leggings the failure shows at the seat and knees under load. There is no spec-sheet substitute for the real test: wear the sample, squat in it under bright light, and look. We would rather a buyer rejects a fabric at the sample stage — when changing it costs nothing — than after 500 pieces are sewn. If your design is a light colour, treat this test as mandatory, not optional.
Stretch and recovery. The spandex content gives the stretch; the recovery — whether the fabric returns to shape at the knee and seat after a hundred wears and washes — is what separates a legging that lasts a season from one that bags out by the second month. Judge it on the washed sample, not the fresh one.
The waistband. Most returns in this category are waistband failures: rolling, slipping, digging in. Waistband construction and width are style decisions we will walk through with you at the mockup stage, because the right answer depends on whether the legging is for yoga, lifting or running.
The range buyers actually order
| Piece | What buyers spec | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Leggings | Full-length or 7/8, high waist, with or without pockets | The core of most ranges; pocket placement is a selling feature, settle it early |
| Sports bras | Light to medium support styles | Usually ordered as part of a matching set, not alone |
| Shorts | Fitted bike-style or loose training shorts | Bike shorts follow the same squat-proof rules as leggings |
| Tops & tanks | Cropped, fitted or loose-fit | Carries the printed or embroidered brand mark most visibly |
| Matching sets | Legging + bra (or short + top) in one design | Sets sell as one product and photograph as one product — the range anchor for most new brands |
A matching set is produced as a set: the same fabric batch across both pieces, so the colour match between bra and legging is exact, and the decoration is placed as one design. Ordering the pieces separately from different runs is how brands end up with two slightly different blacks.
Private label: the finishing that makes it your brand
For fitness brands, the garment is only half the product. The other half is the branding layer, applied during production rather than stuck on afterwards:
- Woven neck/waist labels with your brand name, replacing factory labels
- Hang tags with your artwork, attached during packing
- Size and care labels in the format your market expects
- Individual polybags as standard, or your printed packaging if you supply the artwork
Your label and tag artwork therefore needs to be ready by the sample stage, not after bulk is sewn. If you are building the brand from zero, our guide on how to start a sportswear brand sets out the order these decisions come in, and our private label activewear manufacturer post covers this same finishing process in full — this post is the fitness-specific version of it.
Decoration on stretch fabric — what works, what does not
Stretch changes the decoration rules, because whatever is applied to the fabric has to move with it:
- Sublimation prints into the fabric itself, so it stretches with the garment and cannot crack — but it only works on light or white polyester-rich bases. It is the right method for printed leggings and patterned sets.
- Screen print sits on the surface. On a small logo or a wordmark it is clean and economical, but a large stiff print across a high-stretch panel will crack over time. Keep prints small and placed on lower-stretch areas.
- Embroidery is rarely the answer on leggings or bras — the stitching does not stretch and it puckers the fabric. Save it for the range’s hoodies and cover-ups.
Our decoration comparison covers the three methods side by side. The short version for fitness wear: design the print around the stretch, not against it.
Sizes and grading for women’s ranges
Order your size run the way your market buys, not evenly. Fitness brands usually weight the run toward the middle sizes and adjust after the first sell-through — which is another reason to start at a sensible quantity, learn your ratio, and reorder with the pattern, colours and grading already on file. Your approved sample becomes the fit standard every reorder is checked against, so the M your customer buys next season fits like the M she bought this season. Confirm the full size breakdown in writing at the mockup stage; once cutting starts, the run is locked.
MOQ and pricing, honestly
Minimums are per style: many of our fitness styles start from 100 pieces, some at 500, and the exact figure for each style in your range is stated in the quote before you commit. A “style” means one garment in one design — a legging and its matching bra are two styles, each with its own run, and we will price that transparently rather than bundling it into a confusing set number. Our MOQ guide explains per-style minimums in full.
Pricing is tiered: the unit price falls as the quantity per style rises, because fabric buying and machine setup spread across more pieces. For a first range, the sensible structure is a focused set of styles at real quantities rather than a wide range at minimums — depth in two or three styles outsells breadth in eight, and reorders of proven styles are the fastest, cheapest orders you will ever place with us.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know the leggings will be squat-proof? By testing the physical sample, the only honest way. Wear it, squat in it under bright light, wash it once and test again. If a fabric fails, we change the fabric at the sample stage — that is what the stage is for. A free sample is available on first orders precisely because fitness wear cannot be judged from photos.
What is the minimum order for yoga and fitness wear? It varies by style — many start from 100 pieces per style, some at 500 — and each style’s minimum is confirmed in your quote. Leggings, bras and tops are separate styles with separate runs; a matching set is priced as its pieces, clearly itemised.
Can I put my own labels, hang tags and packaging on the range? Yes — that is standard private-label work. Woven labels, hang tags and packaging are applied during production, so your artwork needs to reach us by the sample stage. Everything arrives ready to sell under your brand.
Which decoration works best on leggings and sets? Sublimation for patterned and light-coloured pieces (it stretches with the fabric and cannot crack), small screen prints for logos and wordmarks, and no embroidery on high-stretch panels. Send your artwork with your enquiry and we will tell you plainly which method suits each piece.
Can I start with a small range and expand later? Yes, and it is the structure we recommend: two or three styles at proper quantities, learn your size ratio and best sellers, then expand on reorders — which run faster because your patterns, fabrics and label setups are already on file.
How long does a bulk fitness wear order take? Sample in 5–7 days, bulk production 15–20 days after you approve the sample, then shipping — roughly 4–7 days by DHL/FedEx air to most destinations, or several weeks by sea for large planned orders. Plan about six weeks from first message to stock in hand for a first range.
